According to Sacnilk.com, Section 370 has earned around Rs 23 crore since its release in India. In this film Yami Gautam is the lead role. The film was released in cinemas worldwide on 23 February.
Section 370 Indian Box Office Income
The film earned 5.9 crores on the first day and 7.4 crores on the second day. According to preliminary estimates, Article 370 on its third day in India will fetch Rs. 9.50 crore earned. The film has so far collected 2.28 crores in India. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dar and Lokesh Dar.
Regarding Article 370
The film is about terrorism and corruption in Jammu and Kashmir. Yami is playing the role of an intelligence officer. The trailer of the film showed the spread of terrorism where extremists were trying to take over the region. Yami’s character joins the NIA and is given free rein to carry out missions in Kashmir. The government also promised to abrogate Article 370 at any cost.
Apart from Yami, the film also stars Priyamani, Arun Govil and Kiran Karamalkar in lead roles. The play is “inspired by true events that shaped the future of Kashmir.”
On 5 August 2019, the central government abrogated Article 370, which had granted special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, and divided it into the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
PVR INOX Pictures said in a statement that the film is currently being screened in 1,509 theatres including major multiplexes and selected single screens for maximum reach, according to news agency PTI.
